Although I guess you probably know that already. I've seen them demonstrated though, like on public tv programs. I was 6 years old when my mother started teaching me how to embroider by hand! ("analog" I supposed!) But I've never used any kind embroidery machine. I think what it does is make your drawing so that the embroidery machine can use it. I haven't used it, so I can't say how well or not well it works. There is another extension which you might find helpful. I think Inkscape would be great to use, to draw embroidery patterns/designs. Tonight I'll try creating a cartoon design a friend wants to put on a shirt. I've just finished the tutorials and I can see that Inkscape should be quite useful for creating original designs. I haven't sent the file to the machine yet but the thread simulation looks good. The entire process took about two minutes. EMF, then digitized the same logo in Embird.
